Plum & Walnut Crumble (Featured Oct '04)
Ingredients
75g of walnut pieces
900g of plums of your own choice
75g demerara sugar
75g butter cut into pieces
75g plain flour
Pre heat oven 180c/350f/Gas 4
Spread the walnuts on a baking sheet and bake for 8 mins
approx
Butter 1.2l oven dish. Halve and stone plums put them in
dish stir in the nuts and half of the sugar.
Make crumble with the butter flour and sugar rub them all
together to resemble bread crumbs (optional extra you could
all some extra walnuts in as well)
Cover the fruit with the crumble and pressdown lightly
bake for approx 45mins serve with cream or custard.
